Dear everyone!
We wrote a 10 page article on the Global Action DAy experience here in Berlin but unfortunately it is in German and so I briefly want to lay out our experience with the Global Action Day. We have been a bit disappointed by the desinterest of the left movements in this city in the Global Action Day and also in the whole Social Forum Process. It seems like this is not a time for movement right now even though there are enough issues to grapple with. On the other side the protests against the g8 meeting last year in Germany were quite big and our plan - 3 people from the Berlin Social Forum - is now to build up grassroots for the Social Forum process and present the idea at different upcoming meeting of the German left.
