REPORTING IN ACTION SPACES IS PROGRESSING : 250 DOCUMENTS POSTED SINCE
JANUARY 26TH
See the progress of reporting in 800 action spaces

Find your country in the list :
is it in the first ? : 25 countries where 250 documents have been put in
455 action spaces since january 26th
or the second ? : 55 countries where no document has been input in 375
action spaces
Access the page of your country
http://wsf2008.net/eng/countries
and see how many people are registred and how many actions and other
document there are in each
Example : Bangladesh 8 5 5 2
Means : 8 people from bangladesh are registred in wsf2008.net - there are
5 actions spaces holding 5 actions and 2 documents other than action have
been posted in those 5 action spaces
Due to digital divide, there is, on average, about on line participants
for each 100 actual participants in actions in WSF2008 GDA
Also there are currently about 2 on line participants for 1 action ….
To help raise this ratios : spread the word to your fellow action
participants invite them to join the site and their action space.
WHY REPORT IN ACTION SPACES ?
Reporting in action space gives an automatic linking to the action you are
reporting on (which reporting only in blog does not gives )
So if you post in the site blog http://wsf2008.net/blog ( 130 posts to
date) be careful to give a link to your action space in your post, and to
post also the document in your action space
Reporting in action space gives the possibility of starting a collective
exchange :
if you are several people in an action space, , then you will be notified
when somebody else posts a document in the action space and you can
interact
(this is the case in a minority of action spaces but can change if you
invite fellow participants )
REPORTING IS ONGOING
In your country page : look on the left under the map ,
Are there images news messages videos visible?
If you post one document in your action space, it will be visible here
for all the visitors of your country page
What about the action you participated in …. ?
Click on the « find action » button in the country page
Click on the second column « group » corresponding to your action
(that is the action space)
May be you have something to contribute and report
Click on « join and contribute » on the right of screen to get in your
action space

WHAT ARE COLLECTED REPORTS ?
In WSF office in Sao paulo Brasil – a team is collecting documents
about actions in WSF2008 that are found « outside » the action spaces in
wsf2008.net ( i-e on mailing lists , on blogs, on other sites etc..) and
is putting them in one document for each country called « collected
reports »
So collected reports is only a part of reporting :
it is a useful complement to the « in site » reporting process is
visible in each country page on the left under the map

INVITING MORE ON LINE PARTICIPANTS - DEVELOP REPORTING AND LOCAL
COMMUNICATION
You can invite your fellow participants to action to come and register on
the site and join and contribute with reports images personal testimonies
etc…
If you are several people in an action space you will be notified of all
posts made by the other participants
ESTABLISHING CONTACT WITH OTHER ACTIONS IN THE WORLD - DEVELOP
INTERCOMMUNICATION
You can express your interest and solidarity with other actions
presented in wsf2008.net
You can propose to establish contact and develop further
intercommunication with some organisations ,
Just click on « add comment » link visible under any document that you
see in the site, action description or messages or images etc….
All participants in the action space will receive notification of your
comment
